What is HydraFacial
HydraFacial is a facial treatment that uses a vacuum-like device to open the pores and remove dead skin cells. The six critical steps involved in HydraFacial include detox, cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection. The treatment sucks out blackheads while cleansing and exfoliating the skin and stimulating it with valuable peptides.
HydraFacial combines an advanced, patented vortex technology with botanical ingredients to deeply cleanse the skin and provide patients with essential nutrients like hyaluronic acid, copper, magnesium, zinc, and red algae extract, to name just a few. These ingredients are delivered to the locations where they perform most effectively. Pollution, sun and stress are three vital areas that can damage skin and accelerate ageing. With antioxidants, HydraFacial helps counteract the effects of these areas.
Like microdermabrasion, HydraFacial helps to rejuvenate the skin. However, the procedure is far more advanced than microdermabrasion and delivers more remarkable results. We will talk more about the differences between HydraFacial and microdermabrasion further on.
What's our process?
Step 1
Your Hydrafacial experience at Enhance Clinispa in Bolton begins with a personalised consultation and skin assessment with a therapist. Your skin concerns such as congestion, dryness, dullness, uneven texture, fine lines, or breakouts are discussed and your skin is analysed to tailor the treatment. This ensures the right approach, including the most suitable serums and focus areas, so your Hydrafacial is customised to your goals.
Step 2
On the day of your appointment, your skin will be cleansed thoroughly and any makeup, SPF, or surface oils will be removed. If you’ve had recent peels, strong retinoid use, or active irritation, your therapost may advise adjusting your skincare beforehand to keep your skin calm and comfortable. Once your skin is prepped, you’ll be made comfortable and talked through each stage, so you know exactly what to expect.
Step 3
Hydrafacial is performed using a specialised device that combines gentle exfoliation with vortex suction technology. The treatment typically starts by cleansing and exfoliating to remove dead skin cells and reveal a smoother surface. Next, impurities are lifted from pores with painless suction while the skin is simultaneously infused with hydrating and skin-supporting solutions. Finally, targeted serums are applied to address your specific concerns, leaving your skin looking clearer, plumper, and more radiant.
Step 4
Following your Hydrafacial, you can expect an immediate glow with little to no downtime. Your skin may look slightly pink for a short time, but this usually settles quickly. Your therapist will advise you to keep skincare gentle for the next 24 hours, avoid heat treatments and intense workouts that day, and apply SPF daily to protect your fresh, newly exfoliated skin. Many clients notice improved hydration and clarity straight away, with results continuing to develop over the following days, especially with regular treatments.
